Hello, I’m Alpha! I am a male, Russian Blue Mix short coat. Born on 5-15-24, I’m a little kitten with a big heart. I’m brave and independent, but don’t let that fool you – I’m as sweet as they come. My siblings, Bravo, Delta, and Charlie, can vouch for me. We love playing together, our energy is contagious! I’m quite the smart kitty, always curious and ready to explore. But when it’s time to mellow out, I love nothing more than a good brushing session. It’s my favorite! I’m also loyal and friendly, always ready to greet new friends. I may be young, but I promise to be your faithful companion. So, why should you adopt me? Because I promise to fill your life with playful energy, sweet purrs, and loyal companionship. I am also boxed trained. I can’t wait to meet you!
An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet/greet can be set up. http://yvpr.org/catadoptionapplication.html)
If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes.
Meet/greets and adoptions take place at a site chosen by the adoption coordinator. If the cat you wanted to adopt is no longer available, please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don’t always go through and it may be relisted. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you’d like to apply for.
The adoption fee covers vaccinations and worming. Flea treatment and veterinary care will be provided if necessary. If you are from out of town you will need a pre-paid spay/neuter receipt from your own veterinarian.

Thank you for thinking adoption and Good Luck!
