YVPR does not respond to applications/inquiries originating from Petfinder. Questions about our adoption process can generally be answered by reviewing the Adoption FAQ’s.
Oh my, here we have one handsome guy and his name is Sully, a Husky mix. He is approximately 1 year old and weighs 72 lbs. He is neutered and UTD on his shots. Sully has a sad tale to tell, he showed up as a stray and the owner was located, but they did not want him back.
Sully is friendly with everyone he meets. He currently resides with a 5 yr old and does well. He does well with other dogs and loves to play with the Border Collie in the home. Sully does chase cats if given the opportunity.
He spends time inside and outside, is house trained and keeps his outdoor kennel clean too. When outside he doesn’t climb fences 🙂 If he gets dirty playing outside, no worries, he loves baths and the sprinkler. Sully is an active boy so an active person would be great. He does okay on a leash and is getting better all the time. He’s a smart boy, learning commands like sit and ready to learn more!

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has ‘Adoption Pending’ beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don’t always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you’d like to apply for.
