My Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Merle, the lab/mastiff mix, has come a long way since he arrived. He has had hip surgery, gained weight, and is ready to be adopted. Dogs are so resilient, and Merle is no exception. Merle enjoys taking in all the beautiful smells that the great outdoors has to offer on his strolls. He has fun following or leading the pack of resident dogs, large and small. Although he is good with most of god’s creatures we feel bunnies or cats may be a challenge. He can also be a lounger, so, if you’re looking for a mellow boy that likes to go for walks, but also likes to hang out on the couch with you, then Merle is your boy.
Having some experience with mastiffs would be helpful. While Merle is smart, affectionate, and eager to please, his independent and sometimes stubborn nature can present challenges during training. It’s important to approach training with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement techniques.
