My Story
Meet Jacqueline Cochran!
Miss Jacqueline is a spayed female, Terrier mix. This little sweetie is only 10 weeks old (as of 7/1/24). She currently weighs in at 22 pounds.
Jacqueline Cochran came to the Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue over Memorial day weekend. She was picked up by our southern rescue partners who knew she deserved a new and beautiful life. Her foster reports that’s she a very intelligent girl who is picking up on basic commands very quickly. She is also very affectionate and responsive to praise.
Jacqueline LOVES to play fetch, will sit for treats and is doing very well on her house breaking. She does great on car rides and has not shown any signs of car sickness. She gets along nicely with other dogs and enjoys playing chase with them. Jacqueline hasn’t yet been introduced to cats yet, but as calm and easy-going as she is, she’d probably become buddies with them too!
Her foster also reports that she loves going to pet-friendly stores and meeting new dogs and people!

Adoptions are held at our Adoption Center inside Peppermint Pig Thrift and Gift on Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.
IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
