My Story
My name is Arvin & my toxic trait is thinking I’m a lap dog even though I currently weigh 59 pounds. If you love cuddling & think personal space is optional, I’m your guy!
It’s guessed that I’m about 5 years old & a lab mix. I had a rough start when I got to WI, but, after a few vet visits, it was determined I have hypothyroidism. I’ve started daily medication, I’m feeling better every day, & Mom says my extra weight is melting off!
My future family will need to make sure I stick to my diet & get plenty of exercise, so I can get to a healthy weight, which, for me, is about 50 pounds. They’ll also need to be able to manage my twice daily medication & understand I will most likely be on it for the rest of my life. But, don’t worry! Hypothyroidism is easily managed with medication & doesn’t have an impact on how long I’ll live.
I’m potty trained on a schedule & working on my crate training – I don’t love it in there, but I’m a very good boy & usually free roam in my foster home. I get along just fine with dogs & I love kids. Cats are unknown, but as long as they don’t bother me, I’m sure I’ll be fine.
