My Story

Is that food I smell? I’m NOT a picky eater. I have quite the appetite. Although, that could be because I’m nursing 5 puppies right now. But still, food is one of my favorite things! Another favorite is belly rubs, back scratches, ear itches, etc. Really, any cuddling works for me! I’m around 35lbs and somewhere between 1 and 2 years old. I’m currently being treated for heartworms and do have a heart murmur but don’t worry, I’m a low-energy kind of girl anyway. My foster mom says I’m a couch potato. I’m pretty quiet too and tolerate other dogs. I’m not really one to play much, I have an old soul. I hope you like kisses because I love giving them! I’m adaptable, if you want to go on adventures, I’m down! If you want to stay in and relax, I’m fine with that too. I’m house-trained and know how to use a doggy door if you have one. I’m also comfortable with walking on a leash. I’ve had a rough start to life so I really can’t wait to meet my FURever family!
Possible Staffy mix. I’ll be spayed, treated for heartworms, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines at the time of adoption. My adoption fee is $275. Send the rescue a message at [email protected] if you’re interested in adopting me!
More info about my past: From the founder of NMAR: I came across Clementine in the middle of June on a rural back road. She was almost struck by a car while crossing the road. So I stopped to check on her. She was obviously VERY pregnant but was also quite emaciated. Absolutely covered in fleas and ticks. She had scars all over from old tick bites that became infected. She had no collar and showed no sign of being cared for. Upon inspecting, I found a large scar that appears to be from a collar that was way too tight and cutting into her skin, from being left on a tie-out and injured while trying to escape. After one week in our home, she had her puppies!
Clementine is positive for heartworms and has antibodies for Lyme and Ehrlichia, which are both tick-borne diseases. In addition to that, she has also been diagnosed with a heart murmur. She was struggling to put on weight as she was working hard to nurse her puppies who are already a third of her weight. They’re not even two months old yet! She also had a heavy worm load. She’s between one and two years of age and is THE SWEETEST thing. Her puppies are growing strong, both physically and personality wise, as she’s an excellent mother.?????
