My Story
** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially “foster to adopt” the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay neuter/surgery**
Check out this cute little guy! This is the adorable, Daiquiri! This cutie patootie was found on a farm as a lone and tiny kitten. Sweet Daiquiri has an estimated birthdate of 5/11/24, so he’s just about 11 weeks old. This wonderful little one has been lucky enough to spend his time in a foster home since coming to us, and he spent time with two other lone kittens, who have since become his BFFs! Daiquiri’s foster mom says that he is a super sweet boy who never makes a fuss. This fun and fantastic boy loves to play as much as he loves to cuddle. Being so young, this little guy would do great in just about any home, including with children (they just need to be careful of his tiny size and be gentle with him), dogs or other cats. This sweet boy would love to be adopted with a foster sibling (Mojito or Seabreeze), or other kitty companion (we have lots!), or at least have a feline friend in the home. Kittens do SO MUCH better in pairs and when they have a friend. Single Kitten Syndrome is a real thing! We want our furbabies and our adopters to have long term success and a house full of happy people and kitties! Would you like to meet this cutie patootie and maybe a sibling or other kitten too? Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a microchip, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a 1-year rabies vaccine (if old enough). Fees can be made by cash or credit card.
