My Story

It’s cold out here. And wet. It’s so strange that they left me outside. I was usually always inside. They wouldn’t pack up the house and leave just me? They must have just forgot I was here. I’m starting to get hungry. And lonely. Please come back. I promise I’ll be a good kitty.”
Poor little Piper was left behind when her family moved. We can’t imagine the thoughts racing through her head, and then the relief when she was found by a neighbor who fed and sheltered her until we could take her in. Unsurprisingly, a note in her file said “scared.” Very surprisingly, however, Piper tricked us all. Soon she was carrying on full conversations with complete strangers, demanding pets like they were old besties, and strutting around the lobby like she owned the place. Now that she’s really shown us the real her, Piper is putting on an act of an elusive catwalk queen.
Piper is about 2 years old, is fine with the other cats and doesn’t seem bothered by dogs. She may indeed be shy at first in a new place until you show her that she rules the house and you are her servant…just kidding! Piper’s trickery seems to be rubbing off on us. She’s spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
