Hello, I’m Spice. I am an orange and white short coat female that was born on a sunny day on April 17th 2024, a tiny 2.5 pounds of curiosity and playfulness. My journey to this rescue? It’s a tale of magic and wonder. One day, while exploring, I found a peculiar, glowing pebble. I pounced on it, and poof! I was here. I’m a bit shy, but I’ve learned to love my foster home. It’s full of interesting smells and friendly faces. But, I’m ready for a new adventure. I’m independent, but I wouldn’t mind a companion. I promise to bring magic, mystery, and a whole lot of playfulness into your life. My siblings are Ginger, Cheddar and max. I am boxed trained.
An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet/greet can be set up. http://yvpr.org/catadoptionapplication.html)
If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes.
Meet/greets and adoptions take place at a site chosen by the adoption coordinator. If the cat you wanted to adopt is no longer available, please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don’t always go through and it may be relisted. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you’d like to apply for.
The adoption fee covers vaccinations and worming. Flea treatment and veterinary care will be provided if necessary. If you are from out of town you will need a pre-paid spay/neuter receipt from your own veterinarian.

Thank you for thinking adoption and Good Luck!
