My Story

Highlights:
-Would do best with dogs who can respect personal space or as the only dog
Hi there! I’m Tickle, a 19-pound female Boston Terrier with a personality as unique as my name. I absolutely love bath time and am friendly with people, always showing my sweet nature. Though I’m still getting used to being picked up, I have the cutest bite and make a funny face when you do!
I’m comfortable around other dogs but prefer when they don’t get too close to my face. While I haven’t quite mastered walking on a leash yet and I’m not particularly food motivated, I do have a few loves: baths and butt scratches.
I’m known throughout the shelter for my mile-wide goofy grin, which never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Are you ready to share your home with a lovable, goofy girl like me? Let’s enjoy bath time and butt scratches together, creating lots of happy moments!

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
